Travel and Publications

Isabelle and I have decided we are going to make the trip up to Annmarie Garden for the Re.action show opening. Also on exhibit will be the Olga Hirshhorn Recollects, on loan from the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. This collection will include works by Picasso, Matisse, and Miro. The combination of these exhibitions will celebrate the opening of the new arts building, so it should be a really great experience. Isabelle and I are in the process of printing, mounting, and sending out our work while also dealing with the pressure of finals at UCF, we just bought our plane tickets to Maryland and are looking forward to the experience as a short, yet sweet, vacation.

Not long ago I entered some works from my series this is what a feminist looks like, sometimes referred to simply as the feminist series, to be featured in the student-produced womens studies program webzine The Gender Gazette , and was accepted. The zine features poetry, non-fiction and fiction writing, graphic novels and visual art all encompassing gender related topics.

I have been on a hiatus from the feminist series for quite some time now, but plan to continue working on it in my masters and hopefully the rest of my life. I will update more on the series as it progresses.
