summer time. busy time.

This month has been ultra busy. I have been participating in an intense three week "books without books" class taught by Carla Poindexter at UCF. This is an experimental course utilizing the concept of what a book is. That is, the artworks created do not have to literally be books, but they must encompass a beginning, middle and an end, like a book.

When not working in books without books, I found time to assist rock star photographer Brook Pifer and attend an exhibit by artist/photographer Rob Pruitt at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach with Isabelle, Josh Freeman, and Brady Robinson.
The exhibit consisted of a series of enlarged photos taken with his iPhone, as well as an indoor flea market installation! This was my first time visiting the Atlantic Center for the Arts and I absolutely loved it. I hope one day I can be an artist in residence there.
Finally we received a private tour of the works in Frailty by Carly Gibran & Jinsong Kim at the Harris House Gallery.

Here are some photos from the Gallery show:

Isabelle and I are packing our bags to fly out Friday for the Re.action show in MD!
